Bring Jesus Back

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me." — Revelation 3:20

Not: I will stand nearby while you manage your concerns. Not: I will visit once you have settled the questions. Jesus says He will come in, and He will dine with you — a word that names sustained, intimate, unhurried presence.

The verse establishes who is initiating. Jesus is at the door. He is knocking. He is already speaking, already first, before you have made room for Him. Nothing in the verse asks you to feel ready, to feel certain, or to feel that your seeking has been sufficient before He arrives. The only action assigned to you is to hear His voice and open the door.

Here is what this means for you: the noise in your head — the unsolved questions, the performance anxiety, the guilt about what you haven't figured out — is not disqualifying you from seeking Him first. He is not waiting for the questions to resolve before He comes in, and He is not waiting for you to seek Him with the day's leftover attention, after everything else has had its turn. He is standing at the door now, knocking now, asking to be first now.

Give Him center place before the rest of the morning claims it. Not because you're ready, but because He is already there.
