Subscription
terms.
What you are signing up for, what you will be charged, and how to stop. These prevail over the Terms of Use on anything to do with money.
Awakenn offers a free trial followed by an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks the App’s premium devotional features (the “Subscription”). The following terms apply in addition to Apple’s standard subscription terms, form part of the Terms of Use, and rank as set out in its order-of-precedence clause — they prevail on payment and billing matters.
What’s included
A Subscription gives you full access to all of Awakenn’s premium features, including all devotional content (audio, text, and scripture), custom alarms linked to devotional media, collections, bookmarks, highlights, and reflections, and any new premium features added during your Subscription. Free-tier features, if any, remain accessible without a Subscription.
Required disclosures (Apple App Store)
As required by Apple, the following are shown clearly during the purchase flow in the App, and links to these Subscription Terms, the Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy are accessible within the App at all times, including in the purchase flow:
- Title: Awakenn Premium (Monthly) / Awakenn Premium (Annual)
- Billing period: 1 month / 12 months
- Price: as displayed in the App and on the App Store product page in your local currency, inclusive of applicable taxes where required
- What’s included: full access to all premium features, as above
The price and billing period are shown for your confirmation before any purchase is completed.
Free trial
- Your 7-day free trial begins when you start it and gives full access to premium features. The free trial is offered on the Annual plan.
- Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your trial automatically converts to a paid Subscription and your Apple ID is charged the full price of the plan you selected.
- The trial length, end date, and the price you will be charged on conversion are shown by Apple before you confirm the trial, and you can check your conversion date at any time in your Apple ID subscription settings. If you allow notifications, we also send you reminders before your trial ends (currently around two days before, and again on the final day). You can cancel anytime at least 24 hours before the trial ends in your Apple ID settings to avoid being charged.
- If you purchase a Subscription during the free trial, the trial ends immediately and you are charged at the time of purchase. Any unused portion of the trial is forfeited.
Auto-renewal
- Your Subscription automatically renews at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the then-current price for the same plan.
Billing grace period and retries
If your payment method fails at renewal, Apple may provide a billing grace period (currently 16 days) during which your premium access continues while Apple retries payment. If Apple recovers payment during the grace period, your renewal date is unchanged and the renewal charge covers the full period from your original renewal date — including the days you used during the grace period. After the grace period ends, Apple may continue retrying for up to about 60 days under its policies; if payment is recovered after the grace period has ended, a new billing period starts on the date payment succeeds. If your Subscription lapses due to billing failure you may resubscribe at any time, but a previously used free-trial offer will not be available again.
Cancellation
- Cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Awakenn.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep premium access until then.
- Deleting the App does not cancel your Subscription.
Upgrades and downgrades
You may upgrade (for example monthly to annual) or downgrade through your Apple ID Subscription settings. Apple controls proration and billing adjustments; any charge or credit is applied by Apple under its policies. You will not be subscribed to multiple tiers simultaneously.
Family Sharing
Awakenn Subscriptions currently do not support Apple Family Sharing; each person who wants premium features must subscribe separately. If Family Sharing is later enabled, this section will be updated to disclose that up to six members of your Apple Family may access premium features, governed by Apple’s Family Sharing terms.
EU/EEA and UK consumers — 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or the UK, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content or services (EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(m); UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, reg. 37). Your purchase is made through Apple, the merchant of record: Apple provides EU/EEA and UK customers a 14-day withdrawal mechanism through your Apple Account purchase history (“Withdraw Purchase”), and under Apple’s terms, where delivery of digital content begins at your request with your acknowledgment, the withdrawal right is lost once delivery has begun. Because a Subscription gives you immediate access to premium content, starting it is a request for immediate performance. Where the withdrawal right has not been validly waived, you may still exercise it within 14 days via Apple or by contacting business@awakennapp.com, and nothing here removes any mandatory consumer right you have.
Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. However, nothing in this clause limits any right you have under applicable mandatory law — including Singapore’s Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003 and any other non-excludable statutory remedy in your jurisdiction. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We may, at our discretion, offer refunds case by case.
Price changes
We may change Subscription prices. If a price increase applies to your renewal, Apple will notify you in advance. Under Apple’s policies as they stand: where the increase exceeds Apple’s thresholds, or where your country requires it, your Subscription will not renew at the higher price unless you affirmatively consent — if you do not, it lapses at the end of the current period; for smaller increases, your Subscription renews at the new price after the notice period, and you can cancel before the renewal date if you do not accept it. The mechanics follow Apple’s then-current subscription policies.
Managing your Subscription
View or manage your Subscription in the App at Settings → Subscription, or in your Apple ID account settings.
Billing relationship
Payment is collected by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment-card details. Subscription and entitlement records are processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
